On Wednesday, Dec. 12, the Maclay varsity boys soccer team defended their home turf, beating the Bulldogs. The boys won with an impressive score of 12-0, from start to an early finish, dominating the field. Earlier in the week, they added to their record with another 12-0 win against Suwannee on Monday, Dec. 9.

“We all honestly thought it was a really easy game,” senior captain Colin Edwards said. “[For next time] we are going to focus on scoring even more goals.”

The Marauders mercy ruled the Bulldogs, ending the game at halftime. The team had a total of 12 assists and 16 steals, with senior Zac Scovotto and junior Reid Roberts earning the most goals and assists of the match.

“We scored a lot of goals and passed very well,” junior Zach Gazvhini said. “We are going to continue to practice hard and not get our egos too high.”

With their records 10-0-1, the boys hope to keep their undefeated record when facing Port St. Joe on Friday, Dec. 13.
