1. Chipotle
Chipotle is a Mexican grill with 3,500 locations across the United States. Their ingredients always taste fresh, and I enjoy how you can customize your order with whatever toppings you would like. Their delicious lime chips and drinks pair well with my usual order of a barbacoa burrito.
2. Mr. Pickle’s
When I lived in California, I enjoyed Mr. Pickle’s, my favorite sandwich shop, which has 62 locations in California and Arizona. I don’t usually like sandwiches, but when my mom introduced me to this shop, I fell in love with their flavorful subs.
3. Raising Canes
When I moved to Tallahassee, I was introduced to Raising Canes, a chicken strip joint with 800 locations in the U.S. Their menu is short and simple, making it faster to order. My favorite item is their crinkle fries. They are known for their box combo, which is what I usually order; it comes with chicken tenders, crinkles fries, cane’s sauce, coleslaw, and a drink.
4. Smoothie King
A well-known smoothie shop, Smoothie King has about 800 locations in the U.S. I recently tried their delicious smoothies for the first time with my family, when we were evacuating from Hurricane Helene. One thing that is unique about Smoothie King is the variety of supplements that can be added to any smoothie.
5. Whataburger
The fifth spot was hard to choose, but I eventually decided on Whataburger, which is my go-to if I want to get a burger. Fun fact: Whataburger invented the original quarter-pounder.
