1. Denmark
Last summer, I visited Copenhagen, Denmark. It was a great place to explore, shop around and eat. It is an extremely clean place with almost 100% of their waste being recycled, composted or incinerated. My favorite part of Copenhagen is the amusement park in the heart of the city. Tivoli gardens is a 19th century amusement park with beautiful gardens, fun rides, games and food. It is among the oldest in the world.
2. Canada
This summer, my family vacationed to different parts of Canada. My favorite part was Banff National Park in Alberta. It has so much to offer and is very family friendly. As someone who loves the outdoors, I was in awe of the landscaping that surrounded me. The park’s diverse trails allow for hikes suitable for all, allowing families to explore together. Banff’s charming town had many diverse places to eat and shop. In Banff one can enjoy a blend of excitement, tranquility and quality family time.
3. Alaska
A couple years ago, I traveled to Alaska with my family. Being an animal lover, I enjoyed my time there. There are so many activities I enjoyed, such as hiking, helicopter rides and animal sightseeing. Animal sightseeing was a highlight of the trip. An amazing range of wildlife can be spotted, including sea otters, whales, bald eagles, bears and more. This trip deepened my appreciation for the biodiversity that Alaska has to offer.
4. France
A well-known travel destination, Paris, France has more to offer than meets the eye. It is a very historical area with destinations such as Versailles Palace, Notre Dame and the catacombs. Paris also has many historical and art museums that I learned a lot from. Seeing art in person at museums such as Musée d'Orsay and the Louvre really shows the complexity of treasured artworks. Here, they not only have paintings but also beautiful sculptures, my favorite being Winged Victory of Samothrace.
5. Mexico
Mexico is a great place to relax and take in the views or get up and explore. I visited Cancun and Tulum Mexico, both of which are beautiful areas. My family relaxed in Cancun and slummed on the beach, while in Tulum we explored and swam in cenotes. According to The Merriam Webster Dictionary, a cenote is a “deep sinkhole in limestone with a pool at the bottom…” Mexico is a great place to get the best of both worlds.
