Nepo Baby Sofia Richie Grainge Is Pregnant With Her First Child

Social media’s latest “it” girl Sofia Richie Grainge is expecting her first child with her husband Elliot Grainge. The pair got married in April of last year at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. The bride became popular on Tiktok due to her iconic wedding makeup look and fitting Chanel dress. Since then, Grainge has worked with countless brands, including Prada Beauty, Djerf Avenue and several magazine covers.

However, the biggest surprise since then is that 9 months after her wedding Grainge is expecting a child. The couple found out 4 weeks into the pregnancy, and though beyond thrilled, remained extremely private and protective for peace and privacy from the internet. In an exclusive interview with Vogue, Grainge opened about why she kept her pregnancy a secret.

 “Pregnancy is really scary and you want to protect that space,” Grainge said. “I didn’t realize there are so many milestones you have to hit and so many tests you have to take. For me, it was really important to protect our mental health and our space as a couple.”

 The lovebirds finally shared the news with their parents once Grainge hit the eight-week mark.

According to Grainge she is expecting a baby girl in June. Both her and her husband had an intimate gender reveal with just the two of them using a party popper. The mother-to-be explains she was extremely surprised because she was expecting a boy but is beyond thrilled because she has always wanted a daughter. 

 Grainge shared the news on her social media once she hit six months, explaining how excited she is to experiment with new outfits now that she has nothing to hide.

“Now that we’re announcing it, I have so many ideas,” Grainge said. “I’m not really tapping into maternity wear at all, if anything, I’m just sizing up. I’m also not buying an entirely new wardrobe for this pregnancy. I’ve bought a few pairs of pants in bigger sizes, but I’m wearing my same jackets, sweaters and trenches—I’m about to have some fun with it now that I can spread my wings and fly.”

As the influencer heads into the final trimester of her pregnancy, she is excited to open up on her socials about what she is experiencing. With that she shares a baby shower and baby moon are all in the works. Richie Grainge is open and excited about this transformative time in her life.
