The Universal Dance Association (UDA) College National Competition took place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando from Jan. 17 to Jan. 19. College dance teams from over the United States competed in categories such as Jazz, Hip Hop and Pom. The competition takes place over three days, starting with preliminaries where teams can advance to the semi-finals, and then the top teams compete in finals.

The close tie between Ohio State University (OSU) and University of Minnesota (UofM) in 2024 led to a continued rivalry in 2025. In the D1A jazz preliminaries, the UofM’s routine earned the highest score of 95.2381. At the end of the competition, OSU took the win in the jazz category. All over social media, the rivalry continued, as fans of each team debated which routine should’ve won.

Multiple other universities won in various categories, and the dance community continues to be thrilled with the performances.
