On Sunday, Feb. 23, Maclay held its annual 100-Day Countdown Senior Dinner. This event begins the 100-day countdown until the Class of 2025 Graduation Commencement Ceremony. As the seniors arrived at 6 p.m., a slideshow was projected onto the screen with old photos that each senior parent turned in. The band club performed musical pieces.
To start the night, President of the Alumni Board Nikki Bishop gave her remarks to the senior class. Afterwards, Head of School James Milford spoke about the memories made at Maclay and how special it is to become Maclay alumni. Additionally, former teachers sent in videos of them talking about their experiences with the senior class going back to Pre-K. Then, all the seniors passed around the microphone and said their name, college, major and favorite Maclay memory. The night ended with everyone heading to the fountain, lighting sparklers and getting pictures with friends.
“My friends were talking about wanting to go a second time,” co-president of student council Kayla Iarossi said. “That just really shows how special Maclay is as a school and the opportunities and friendships that it has provided us.”
