From start to finish, the boys soccer team dominated, scoring an early goal and not looking back. The team won another game 3-0 against Wakulla on Friday, Nov. 8. Maclay easily dominated on all fronts, whether it be attacking, defending or scoring. They allowed only five shots, stole 53 balls and had two assists.
“We were able to connect passes in attacking positions, setting ourselves up for easy goals,” senior captain Zac Scovotto said.
Their game, originally scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 6, was postponed two days because of the weather; however, this did not stop the Marauders, even with more rain during the game. Tuning out external factors, Scovotto would score two of the Marauders’ goals while junior Tyson Willit scored the other.
“Because it was rainy the ball would skip,” senior captain Colin Edwards said. “So we had to play the ball in the air in order for our attackers to run onto it, and Zac ended up scoring off it.”
The Marauders look to keep their undefeated season alive on Wednesday, Nov. 13 against Lincoln.
