On Jan. 4 and 5, a new Miss America was crowned at Walt Disney Theatre in Orlando, Fla. This year's winner was Abbie Stockard, who was previously Miss Alabama. Stockard was competing against 51 other contestants, including runner up Annette Addo-Yobo, who was Miss Texas. In addition to being crowned Miss America 2025, Stockard also received a $50,000 cash prize.

Miss America 2025 was featured on PageantVision.com and Miss America YouTube channel. Winning the title is the first hurdle as Stockard will be traveling around the country as a brand ambassador for Miss America, promoting the American Heart Association’s GO RED for Women's initiative and fighting for cystic fibrosis research. She is currently a nursing student and cheerleader at Auburn University. Stockard has also taken her journey on social media, posting days in her life and getting ready with her.

Stockard is the fourth Miss Alabama to win Miss America, the last one being in 2005. Many fans are happy about her winning, but others have found controversial topics posted and worn by Stockard. Despite the backlash, she is continuing with her tour.
