New President, New Department
President-Elect Donald Trump Announces the Department of Government Efficiency
Constructive criticism is a form of improvement for anyone who desires to raise their personal standards. Even the United States government now has a department dedicated to supplying these critiques. According to The New York Times, on Tuesday, Nov. 12, President-Elect Donald Trump announced the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) which will be headed up by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. Outside of stating that the new department will improve financial efficiency, Trump’s announcement left many questions unanswered. He gave no specification as to how the new department will fulfill its duties.
In addition, Musk stated prior to the presidential election that he planned to assist Trump in cutting $2 trillion from the federal budget. This would be a great benefit to federal finance, but he did not explain specific plans.
DOGE is still in the works, but it is expected to increase efficiency in the American government.
