During the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, held on Feb. 2, late One Direction star and solo artist Liam Payne, who passed away on Oct. 16, 2024 at 31 years old, was honored.
The Grammys always include the “In Memoriam” tribute segment during the awards ceremony to honor the legacy of musical artists and creators who have recently passed away. This year’s segment was led by Chris Martin, lead singer of the band Coldplay, and he performed the song “All My Love.”
Photos of Payne appeared on the screen as Martin performed, some from his One Direction days and some more recent, and many guests began to tear up in their seats as they watched.
Along with Payne, Toby Keith, Sam Moore, Wayne Osmond and many more were honored during this tribute. A complete list of every person honored during this year’s tribute can be found on the Grammys website.
