Goodberry Closing for Good

On Nov. 8, the Goodberry Acai Bowls, located on Thomasville Road, announced that it is closing. The store, which has been open for seven years, is sad to announce its end. The Bradfordville Goodberry closed in March and now both Goodberry locations will be closed in Tallahassee. The Midtown shop announced that they had attempted to find a local to take over the business but were unfortunately unsuccessful.

The acai bowl shop will be greatly missed in Tallahassee. A final closing date has not yet been confirmed by the store, and as of right now they are selling buckets of the base for $75. With both of the Goodberry locations closing, acai bowl fans are certainly looking for an alternative option. Playa Bowls recently opened on Gaines Street and seems to be the best alternative to Goodberry. Additionally, both Vale Food Co. and Tropical Smoothie sell acai bowls. Regardless of these new and exciting alternatives, the Goodberry loss will be felt throughout the city.
