Class of 2025 Charter Student Luncheon

On Thursday, April 17, Maclay Charter students—seniors who will graduate having attended Maclay since before first grade—set off to the annual Charter Luncheon held at the Governor’s Club in downtown Tallahassee.

Beginning at the Maclay lower school, the Charter students gathered for a photo in front of their old campus, then loaded the bus to the Governor’s Club.

Once they arrived at the Governor’s Club, students and faculty were provided lunch. As they sat and ate, Head of School James Milford gave a speech commending the accomplishments of the Class of 2025 and giving them words of advice for their upcoming transition to college. Then, the attending faculty members shared fond memories of the charter students over the years. Among these faculty members were Upper School Academic Dean Angela Croston, English teacher Lauren Fantle, Dean of Student Affairs Heather Bas, history teacher Timothy Fitzpatrick, history teacher Stephanie Amidon and Director of Admissions Michael Obrecht.

After the speeches were shared, the Charter students ended the luncheon with time to take photos with each other on the balcony of the Governor’s Club before heading back to the Maclay campus.
