With spring break being right around the corner, here are some exciting yet relaxing places you can visit along with things to do on these fun excursions!

Seaside

Suns up, bums up! Seaside’s warm temperature makes it the perfect place to go relax on the beach, tan or take a refreshing swim. Seaside has a plethora of things to do. The streets are very charming and there are many colorful houses to admire along with their unique designs and features. There are also many live music performances at the outdoor amphitheater. If loud music is not your thing, you can also go out to shop and dine. There are many different restaurant options also with food trucks along with shops along the beachfront and also a mall. In the case of feeling extra active and wanting to experience the warm weather fully, you can rent bikes and explore the town and its many sights.

Jamaica

Wagwan! If you're thinking of spending spring break in the Caribbean, but not wanting to travel too far from the United States, Jamaica is a great quick option and there are so many things to do there. To start off, there are so many delectable cuisines available anywhere you turn. There are many different opportunities to learn about the history and culture of the island such as visiting the Institute of Jamaica in Kingston, which also houses the National Museum of Jamaica and the Jamaica Music Museum. If walking around a museum is not your cup of tea, there are so many beaches to go to whether they are private or public. Jamaica's clear waters make it extremely easy to see underwater, even with no goggles. They also offer snorkeling in the colorful reefs, paddle boarding and kayaking. Instead of tanning all day long, there is so much to experience in Jamaica.

Cruise

Ahoy there! If visiting one country over spring break is not enough, there is also the option of a cruise. Most cruises stop in several places in the region that is picked, like the Caribbean, Europe, Asia and more. Cruise ships stay in different parts of the region for one to two days depending on the ship which gives you time to make the most of the day. Cruises also offer different activities whether it be for children, teenagers or adults, there is always something to keep you entertained if staying in feels like the plan for a day. If exploring is on the table, make sure to book tours and transport prior to your arrival or just go where the wind takes you.

Brazil

Brazil is well known for their beaches but also for their 98 foot tall statue “Christ the Redeemer.” The statue is made of reinforced concrete and soapstone and has been there since 1931. It was recently voted one the new seven wonders of the world. Explore and immerse yourself in the city’s vibrant art life, museums and food scenes in São Paulo. Soaking up the sun is also a great option but Brazil's beaches are known to be jam packed all the time except for winter, so if crowded beaches are not ideal, you can enjoy hiking through canyons, seeing waterfalls and appreciate the different rock formations.

Switzerland

Switzerland is considered one of the best countries in the world consistently ranking at the top “Best Country” reports particularly because of their high life quality, political stability, strong economy and breathtaking scenery. There are many hiking tours in areas like Les Pléiades to see the blooming flowers or the majestic waterfalls. There are also mountain hikes and trails where you can experience magnificent views and fresh nature. In Switzerland, you can also enjoy the great spring skiing conditions at high altitude resorts. Another fun activity is taking a train journey through Jungfraujoch, which is known as the “Top of Europe.” On this train ride there are many beautiful views of the mountain ranges and blooming fields or flowers.
