Eagles Swoop in for Victory

The 59th Super Bowl



The 59th Super Bowl was held on Saturday, Feb. 9 at Caesars Superdome Stadium in New Orleans, La. Kickoff began at 6:30 p.m. EST, and the game ended around 10 p.m. The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs to become the Super Bowl champions. 


By the end of the first quarter, the Eagles were up 7-0 with a touchdown by Jalen Hurts. The Eagles were up 24-0 going into halftime with a 48-yard field goal by Jake Elliot, a touchdown by Cooper DeJean and another touchdown by A.J. Brown. At the end of the third quarter, the Eagles were up 34-6 with a 29-yard field goal by Jake Elliot, a touchdown by DeVonta Smith and the Cheifs scored their first touchdown with a 24-yard pass to Xavier Worthy. By the last quarter, the Eagles scored 48-yard and 50-yard field goals by Jake Elliot, and the Cheifs scored two more touchdowns by DeAndre Hopkins and Xavier Worthy. The final score was 40-22 with the Eagles’ win.
