Recent Tornado Wipes out Oklahoma

Oklahoma is known for having frequent tornadoes, so residents are always on their toes and staying very vigilant as anything can happen at any given time. With this, it was no surprise when multiple tornadoes hit during a storm on Nov. 3. Residents were urged to evacuate and, if not, to seek safety at the local shelter facilities according to a common protocol.

Even though this was not the worst of what they have experienced, people’s houses were completely destroyed; over 99,000 homes and businesses were without power and 11 people were hospitalized. Much of the damage was near Oklahoma City but still spread around in other areas.

No deaths have been reported, and the number of homes and businesses that were out of power was reduced to 24,000 by late Sunday evening. There was much leftover debris, including fallen trees, people’s homes and trash brought in by flash floods.
