President-elect Donald Trump’s Appointees



Since the turnout of the Nov. 5 election, President-elect Donald Trump has appointed people to serve in his cabinet.


The positions that do not require Senate confirmation have been announced as follows: JD Vance as Vice President; Susie Wiles as Chief of Staff; James Blair, Taylor Budowich, Stephen Miller and Dan Scavino as deputy chiefs of staff; Thomas Homan as the border czar; Michael Waltz as national security advisor; Bill McGinley as White House counsel; Steven Cheung as communications director; Karoline Leavitt as press secretary; Will Scharf as staff secretary, Sergio Gor as personnel; Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy for government efficiency and Brendan Carr for chairman of Federal Communications Commission.


The positions that require Senate confirmation have also been announced and are as follows: Marco Rubio as secretary of state, Matt Gaetz as attorney general, Pete Hegseth as defense secretary, Kristi Noem as Homeland Security secretary, John Ratcliffe as Central Intelligence Agency director, Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence, Mehmet Oz as Medicare and Medicaid administrator, Lee Zeldin as Environmental Protection Agency administrator, Elise Stefanik as United Nations. ambassador, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Health and Human Services secretary, Doug Burgum as Interior secretary, Doug Collins as Veterans Affairs secretary, Howard Lutnik as commerce secretary and transition co-chair, Sean Duffy as transportation secretary, Chris Wright as energy secretary, Linda McMahon as education secretary and transition co-chair and Matthew G. Whitaker as North Atlantic Treaty Organization ambassador.
