Coming back to Maclay for another home game, the girls varsity volleyball team could not get another win in the books. On Monday, Sept. 23, the girls lost against Blounstown, winning only one of four sets.

“The game started kind of slow,” junior Izzi Ward said. “It was definitely better than we have played, as the game went on we got more energy and played better.”

After the Tigers took the first two sets, the Marauders tried to make a comeback in the third set, winning it by a score of 28-26. However, it was not enough to win the game as the Marauders lost the last set, ultimately losing the game.

“Our communication needs to be picked up a little bit,” Sophomore Kate Hartman said. “We were more bonded [this game].”

With their record dropping to 5-12, the Marauders will take a week off then come back to play Chiles on Wednesday, Oct. 2, hoping to add a win to this record.
