School has been in session for over five weeks. Freshmen students get the lay of the land and begin to adjust to their surroundings. Signing the Book of Honor makes them official Marauders.
Brothers or Best Friends?
Charlie Dailey delivers a speech introducing his brother, John Dailey. He explains his family’s enthusiasm and love for Maclay School through his stories of his siblings’ time there. He also expresses his admiration for Maclay students and The Honor Code.
Setting The Stage
Tallahassee Mayor, John E. Dailey, delivers a crowd engaging speech educating students on the Maclay Honor Code. He encourages students to be honorable even when people are not watching.
Honorable, Respectful and Accountable
Mayor John Dailey shares the importance of upholding the Maclay Honor Code. He shares that Honor Code Signing may be even more important than graduation. The Maclay Honor Code is something students can carry with them for the rest of their lives.
“The First Day of The Rest of Your Lives”
Signing the Book of Honor is a Maclay tradition dating back to2000. It is relevant everyday because being kind, honorable and accountable can help students in their daily lives even after graduation.
