The chemistry between the characters is sincere and deep. The plot twist at the end of this book left many readers in a state of shock and awe with the characters and incredible writing which pieced it all together perfectly. The novel follows the point of view of Nora Stephans, a workaholic and literary agent living in New York City when she gets guilt-tripped by her pregnant sister to spend the summer in Sunshine Falls. While in Sunshine Falls Nora repeatedly runs into her nemesis Charlie Lustra and later learns they will have to work together. This book has all the warm gushy feelings of a small-town romance making it a perfect summer read.

“The Unhoneymooners” is a humorous enemies-to-lovers romance written by Emily Henry following the life of Olive Torres. When everyone gets food poisoning at her twin sister’s wedding besides Olive and Ethan Thomas, the groom’s best man and her enemy, an all-expenses-paid honeymoon is offered to Olive and Ethan since they are the only ones who did not get food poisoning. After lots of consideration Olive and Ethan both decide to take the offer. When Olive has a run-in with her future boss and tells a little white lie, she and Ethan must pretend to be newlyweds in order to protect her reputation. The banter between the two characters is steamy and passionate. Once you pick this book up you will not want to put it down. It is a charming story filled with flirting, humor and even a few tears.

“Verity ” is written by the one and only Colleen Hoover. It is a chilling thriller filled with mystery and romance. Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer who is offered a job to finish writing best-selling author Verity Crawford’s books. Lowen was hired by Jeremy Crawford, Verity’s husband after Verity was in a freak accident putting her into a coma. When Lowen arrives at Crawford’s house to continue Verity’s work she uncovers chilling secrets and hard truths about the family. The novel is filled with jump scares and a nail-biting plot twist leaving fans in disgust and horror unveiling an alarming truth.

“It Happened One Summer” is written by bestselling author Tessa Bailey. Piper Bellinger is an influencer with a reputation for being a wild child. When a party gets out of control her step-father cuts her off and sends her and her sister to learn responsibility by working at her father’s bar in Washington. While working in the small town she bumps into a local named Brenden. Piper and Brenden are polar opposites but there is undeniable attraction and chemistry between the two. The book is a perfect Hollywood “it girl” read filled with romance and humor making it an enjoyable rom-com summer read.
