Another week, another Netflix banger. Arguably, one of Netflix’s best shows made its return on April 27 with the long awaited release of its second season. “Sweet Tooth: Season 2” released in the form of eight one hour long episodes, and has since taken the hearts of critics and viewers alike, dominating the top 10 list and racking up all kinds of praise. With its great continuation of the original season’s plot, its solid character development and its addictingly entertaining nature, “Sweet Tooth: Season 2” was a delight, making it worthy of anyone’s time.

The second season of “Sweet Tooth” was a continuation of the first season’s great plot, taking place in an apocalyptic world ravished by a deadly virus known as the sick. The remaining humans live in tandem with half human, half animal children who were born at the start of the disease. The new season begins where the first left off – with the children in a peculiar situation brought about by the Last Men. As the season progresses, viewers hold witness to a great evolution of the story – as all kinds of missing pieces of the puzzle begin to fall into place. With its great plot, “Sweet Tooth: Season 2” is a worthy watch for any viewer looking for an action adventure and  apocalyptic delight.

While the incredible plot alone is enough to warrant a watch, the character development building off the first season is another great attribute to these new episodes. As the season progresses, viewers come to see new sides of the characters compared to the first. The development of the relationship between Big Man (Nonso Anozie) and Amie Eden (Dania Ramirez) is particularly special. The second season marks a variety of ups and downs for the two characters, but viewers can really see how the events in the show and their relationship also has profound effects on their individual selves. The second season also marks a period of growth for Gus (Christian Convery), who finds a new sense of maturity. The character development in “Sweet Tooth: Season 2” makes it an outstanding and profound watch, and a great binge.

Ultimately, “Sweet Tooth: Season 2’s” best attribute is its entertainment factor. The show is impossible to stop watching. Just as with the first season, the world the writers created is completely captivating. There is never a dull moment, and it is truly an edge of your seat kind of event. Furthermore, the great acting by all of the characters contribute greatly to this entertainment.

With its great plot, its awesome character development and its highly entertaining nature, “Sweet Tooth: Season 2” is worthy of a watch from any viewer. What makes the show so particularly good is its universal nature: viewers young and old can all delight in the series’ captivating post-apocalyptic world.
