Working Hard
The Marauders defense was working hard in their game against NFC. Every time they brought the ball down the court our defense was already set up and ready to defend the hoop. NFC put up a good fight by constantly screening the marauders, however, it was no match and they were not able to score enough to take the lead.

Jumping Over the Competition
Senior Colin McAllister goes up for a one-handed layup early in the game against NFC. After the shot was re-bounded, the Marauders threw the ball up the court to McAllister for a one-on-one layup with a defender. As he goes up the crowd, he watches and waits to see if he will make it in. Success! The ball goes straight in the hoop and the crowd erupts with cheers and the cheerleaders start a new chant.

Always Looking
Senior Michael Grant takes the ball up the court as his team sets up their offense. Keeping an eye on where NFC sets off their defense, Grant plans out his next pass hoping to keep the ball away from NFC.

Keep Control
Senior Colin McAllister fights to keep possession of the ball while NFC is pressuring the offense at the end of the first half. McAllister knew that NFC really needed to score and that they would be trying to force a turnover near the basket in order to close the score gap a little more. Pulling out his best moves he is able to trick the defender and move the ball up the court. With time running out, he quickly passes the ball to a teammate in hope of scoring a few more points before halftime.

Wide Open
Senior Michael Grant takes full advantage of a lacking defender. During the second half, the NFC defense was slowing down and allowing the Marauders more open shots. Grant saw the opportunity and decided to go for the shot. Moments later he and his team were celebrating his shot as three more points were added to the Marauders score.

Everyone’s Watching
Senior Blaise Wallace gets the opportunity in the first half to shoot two free throws. As Wallace steps up to the free line, he does the same routine he has practiced all season. Everyone in the stands was holding their breath either hoping he would make it or miss it depending on which side of the gym they were sitting on. All the pressure in that moment was resting on his shoulders as he had a chance to extend Maclay’s lead even further.

Free Throws Equals Free Points
Senior Sawyer Stone was fouled by the NFC defense while attempting to score for the Marauders. As he steps up to the line to shoot the free throw, he does his routine and realizes how much pressure is on these two shots. As he stands up tall and shoots the first one doing straight into the hoop. Stone had one more shot as both teams lined up along the hoop ready to rebound a missed shot. He did the same routine and once again make the shot.

Executing the Play
Senior Sawyer Davis rebounds the ball and heads up the court and his team is setting up their offense for the next play. While Davis slows down the pace, Coach Granger yells out the play name in hopes to confuse the NFC defense and score. Once everyone is set up Davis begins the play with a pass to his teammates.

Dunking on the Competition
Senior Sawyer Stone charges up the court to beat the NFC defense. As they trail behind, he takes advantage of the open hoop. Stone leaps into the air like he has springs in his shoes and dunks. Scoring two more points for the Marauders his team celebrates his success and gets straight back to the game.

Halftime Show
After the first half, the Marauders were leading over NFC and planning on increasing the gap. As the final minutes of the break were approaching a Dance Fusion team stepped on the court and performed for the fans. After their performance the crowd showed their support by cheering them on as they walked off the court.
